TODAY (March 31) we remember Cesar Chavez, a legendary civil rights and labor leader.
Cesar Chavez founded the United Farm Workers union in 1962 along with Dolores Huerta. He fought for farm workers who faced abuse, low pay and inhumane working conditions. He also encouraged Latinos to get out and vote.
Cesar Chavez’s legacy of fighting for workers’ rights inspires us to this day. His famous rallying cry “Si se puede!” can be heard around the country as we continue to fight for justice and equality for all. Thank you, sir – we are honored to carry your torch in the 21st century.
